Region
Aktobe Region is a significant economic center in the northwest of Kazakhstan, strategically located at a junction, bordering six regions of the country and Russia to the north, as well as Uzbekistan to the south. The administrative center of the region is the city of Aktobe, with a population of 939,400 people.
The region has a unique resource base. It holds all of Kazakhstan’s chrome reserves, as well as more than half of the country’s nickel and titanium reserves. The rich natural resources include:

The mining, chemical, and metallurgy industries are the most developed in the region, along with machine engineering and metalworking. Mineral raw materials are the region’s primary export products.

Plans for 2024:
In 2024, active work continues to attract investments to the Aktobe region, with planned investment volumes of 1.3 trillion tenge. Among the major projects:
  • Construction of a factory for producing 800-meter seamless rails for "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (LLP "PZTM LTD")
  • Cement plant to meet the needs of the region and western regions of Kazakhstan (LLP "QazCement Industries")
  • Energy projects by ERG, including the utilization of up to 100 MW of capacity and a wind power station with a capacity of up to 155 MW.
