Pavlodar Region is one of the most highly developed industrial regions of Kazakhstan, accounting for more than 7% of the country’s total industrial production. The region is home to about 1,000 industrial enterprises, including 19 system-forming companies that produce over 90% of the total output.

Investment opportunities and economic zone
Since 2011, the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Pavlodar" has been operating in the Pavlodar region. Twelve new production facilities have been opened here, including factories for aluminum, petroleum coke, caustic soda, and other materials. Products from this zone are actively exported to CIS countries and abroad.

Among the large projects are factories for the production of epoxy compounds, reagents for the oil and gas industry, and other innovative enterprises.
Energy capital of Kazakhstan
The Pavlodar region rightfully holds the title of the energy capital of Kazakhstan, generating half of the country’s electricity. Local power stations, such as the CHPP and GRES in Pavlodar, Ekibastuz, and Aksu, provide stable energy supply for both large enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses.
The future of the region: new projects and modernization
In the coming years, the Pavlodar region will continue to develop its industry:
  • Manufacturing capacities: Plants like EkibastuzFerroAlloys will allow Kazakhstan to rank 2nd in the world for ferroalloy production.

  • Energy: Modernization of power units at GRES-1 and GRES-2, the construction of a technical silicon plant, and other major projects.

  • Investments: Planned investments of 92 billion tenge will create over 1500 jobs.
