Production of jewelry in Kazakhstan increased by almost 48%

According to the results for January–April 2026, the production of jewelry and similar products in Kazakhstan reached 1.2 billion tenge. This is 47.9% higher than in the same period last year.

Over five years, production volumes have increased by more than 3.5 times. The main center of the industry is Almaty and the Almaty region, which account for almost half of total production.

At the same time, gold prices continue to rise: over the past five years, the price of one gram has increased by almost 2.6 times.

Gold wedding rings in Kazakhstan have increased in price by 47%

As of April 2026, gold wedding rings cost 47% more than a year earlier.

The largest price increase was recorded in the Akmola region — 84.7%. In Almaty, prices rose by 58.3%.

The main reason is the sharp increase in the price of gold. If one gram cost around 26,000 tenge in May 2021, by May 2026 the price had already reached 68,600 tenge.
