Ust-Kamenogorsk - is located on a place of merge of the rivers Irtyshs and Ulba. 
Ust-Kamenogorsk – the capital of the biggest industrial, energy, transport and cultural region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

Bosom of Eastern Kazakhstan region is reached in minerals, especially of complex ore, which contains of lead, zinc, copper, gold, silver, and also less-common metals: cadmium, molybdenum, bismuth, indium, thallium, selenium, tellurium, cobalt and etc.

The Conception of Town-planning of Ust-Kamenogorsk was considered and approved at the enlarged session of Town-planning council on Feb.2010. Under arrangement Ust-Kamenogorsk city will be develop as industrial, cultural and administrative center of Eastern-Kazakhstan oblast.
